Indonesian Adventure

The summer has gone now, but the memories will stay put, especially when I have such a beautiful array of photographs.

I thought it would be a nice to share some of the photos from my summer with you.

My friend Ben and I took a trip out to Indonesia. We flew in to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia and spent a few days in the city.

I'd like to say we spent the days walking the streets, lapping up the smells of different spices from the street foods and taking advantage of the sights. But instead, we spent an incredibly large amount of time on the roof top bar of our hotel, people watching from above and tasting every single cocktail on the menu.

There was also a lot of time spent in the National Museum of Indonesia, where Ben had to pull several happy poses to have his picture taken with Indonesian children that had traveled in to the city from little villages far away on school trips!

After missing our flight that took us to the closest airport to Mount Bromo (which we were going to climb), we headed down to Bali early, and that's when the fun began.

Everywhere you turn there is something to see, do and smell.

We explored beaches, spread our toes out on the sand and dipped them in to the beautiful blue sea.

Spoke to locals, walked for miles upon miles along the sand until we reached shops full of beautiful garments of clothing, locally made coffees and then there was the obscene amount of tat that just added to excitement of it all.

I'm not sure I need to write anymore. The pictures below scream how beautiful Bali & Lombok are and are both places that are truly worth a visit.

Note: If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Lombok, I would HIGHLY recommend The Lombok Lodge, if you check it out on trip advisor the reviews say it all.

What did you do this summer? Are you pleased that Autumn/Winter is setting in? I love leaving work when the nights draw to a close so I can skip home and get my fluffy socks on!

p.s - I will miss my summer glow, until next time sunshine!

|| My weekly treasures #1 ||

Bonsoir jolies fleurs!

It has been a super long time, but I am back! With a new layout & a new post.

My current treasures have been aboard my ship for some time! They include a holy grail lip product that if they discontinued, would quite frankly make me hit the plank!

First up...

Sexy Mother Pucker, Gloss Stick, Plum Jam, £8

Christ on a bike, this lip product is absolutely incredible, in my opinion it is the best day time lip product I have come across at a super affordable price. The colour is beautiful, suits my skin tone perfectly! It looks as though I have put effort in, when really I have opened my peepers at 7am, swiped this across my lips and ran to the door and rolled down the road to work!

At just £8 a pop and the 3 for 2 offer in Boots, I picked up 3 of these. One in the above colour Plum Jam and then Nudist and Raplumzel!

If you are going to do one thing next time you visit boots, pick one of these up to try, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Oh Laura Mercier, how you like to steal my pennies!

Laura Mercier, Crème Brûlée Soufflé Body Crème, £43.50

A product I really do not need to go on about. Picked it up in John Lewis, smells absolutely incredible/edible. Very thick but none greasy and sinks in beautifully. Very luxurious (expensive!) product but your skin and nose will thank you every time you apply. Thank you Tanya Burr, The End.

Jessalli, incredibly thoughtful handmade gifts

Over the last year or so, anytime that I couldn't quite muster up the strength to use my imagine and come up with a gift at Christmas or Birthday time for people I would turn here: http://jessalli.co.uk/

The Jessalli website, a place where you can buy the most beautiful, personalised country gifts made by the very talented Sophia!

At Christmas my Mum purchased the below handmade fabric hearts to use as our present tags and I absolutely love them! The none christmassy ones are up around my flat as decoration and are super cute!

Please go and check her out.

Jessalli fabric hearts, unsure on price

Rae Feather...the most beautiful cashmere

Oh Rae Feather, you made me do something I told myself I wouldn't! Spend a lot of pennies on one of your beautifully made Cashmere scarves. Just take a look for yourselves at this little baby...

Rae Feather website, Large Westbury cashmere scarf, Black, £145

This scarf is pure luxury! I opted for the Black one because I knew it would go with everything (not because I get food down everything I wear, promise!) The scarf is 100% Cashmere and is something, if I could, would take to bed with me every night to snuggle. Super soft, luxurious and a really great staple in my massive scarf collection!

Rae Feather currently have a 30% off sale! Yay! www.raefeather.com

Have you got any treasures you would like to share with me?! I would love to hear about them! There is always room in my treasure chest for more...

|| Michael Todd Product Review ||

Good evening darlings! Sunday has come around so quickly again, so it's time to tackle Monday with a smile!

And after using the two products I'm going to review in this post, I certainly shall be smiling! What beauties!

After I saw the likes of a few lovely blogger and you tubers using Michael Todd products and then reading divine reviews, I decided it was time to see what it was all about!

Off I trotted to the website and purchased the:

♥ Charcoal detoxifying face mask ($34.00)

Absolutely incredible face mask, easy to wear on your face and doesn't crack and make your skin feel awfully uncomfortable. The beautiful thing about this mask is the "aftermath!" INCREDIBLE! My love for any product charcoal based has soared through the roof!

My skin is oily and acne prone and this leaves it feeling divine, no dry patches and no clogged pores. I'm in heaven after every use!

&

♥ Moisture Lite - Lite hydrating moisturiser ($29.00)

As mentioned previously, my skin is super oily! And no matter what anybody tells you, even if you have oily skin you still need to moisturise! And this darlings, in my opinion is the absolute bees knees for oily skin! Not to heavy but does the job on the dry patches I have despite the oiliness! The consistency of this moisturiser is just right, sinks it to my skin and makes me feel fuzzy and warm! I absolutely love the Michael Todd packaging and both of my purchases have pumps which makes me instantly excited that my beauty life will be made that little easier! Dream moisturiser in a bottle! Lalala LOVE!

Have you tried any Michael Todd products? I'd love to invest in more!

|| Wednesday Wants - #1 ||

So it's the middle of the week, I've tried and tested treats I got myself at the weekend and I'm too impatient to wait for the next chance to treat myself! Guess what? I've made my first " Wednesday Wants" post.

Each Wednesday I'll be posting that weeks mid week "wants."

I'm going to choose 1 thing I want from four different categories; home ware, fashion, accessories and of course make-up.

Here's this weeks Wednesday Wants:

♥ Chanel Aqualumiere gloss in shade: Glass Quartz (£20.00)

You'll see a pattern in this weeks Wednesday Wants. All beautiful spring shades! This lip product has accumulated an amazing 4.9 out of 5 rating on the ever trusty make up alley website.

♥ ASOS skate dress in Nepi with scoop back (£25.00)

Delightful colour and perfect style dress for my shape! I want!

♥ Cath Kidston spring bouquet duvet cover (£52.00)

All my duvet sets are flowery and I don't intend to change it anytime soon!

♥ Pieces gelastic peace, hope and harmony bracelet. ASOS (£7.00)

This is such a little spring treasure, cheap, adorable and perfect to add cuteness to any spring outfit

What are your wants of the week? See anything you like?

I'm not sure about you guys, but the sunshine really does bring out my best side.

My delightful sunny day in photographic form ♥

What better way to celebrate the sunshine than with a cup of tea and some home made caramel shortbread

Beautiful daffodils in my new vase.

Sunshine is the only thing that ever motivates me to move my booty!
